Description
Dimensions: 52cm height, 31cm width, ~2.5cm depth

Materials: The frame and base is made of bronze with a beautiful dark patina, and the backboard is made of mahogany wood and the screws are made of iron.
Style: This mirror’s style is possibly the Neo Rococo (Art Nouveau) style that was characteristic during the Belle Époque Period (1871-1914). This mirror features an acanthus leaf crown and scrolls in S and C shapes intertwined together going down the mirror commonly represented in Greek and Roman architecture as immotality, endurance in life, and truimph over its challenges and a domed base representing a shell which in Art Nouveau styles like Neo-Rococo is commonly associated with Venus/Aphrodite.
Structure: The glass and backboard are held together by flathead screws notable of the period. The mirror also has tilting screws on the side which help the mirror tilt backwards which are also possibly made of iron and have a hole in the middle and the base has a hex nut added later in its life to support its base. And some aging/degradation on the glass with tiny black dots concentrated on the left side with a tiny black line (but more clear to the naked eye). See pictures above.
Function: This is a tabletop vanity mirror that can tilt backwards in order to
accommodate for different viewing angles.
