This is an authentic handmade ceramic juglet typical of the Ancient Near East, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age to Iron Age period (approx. 2000–800 BCE). Vessels of this form were commonly used across regions such as Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and northern Mesopotamia.
These small juglets traditionally served for:
• Holding perfumed oils
• Storing medicinal liquids
• Everyday household use in ancient settlements
The workmanship and weathering patterns are shaped by hand and fired in a primitive kiln, giving it the uneven texture and speckled appearance typical of the period.
Included with the juglet is a sherd (pottery fragment) from the same context, showing similar clay composition and surface treatment.
